The process begins with an onsite or phone consultation with our Design Director, Sam. We will listen to all of the things you would like to include in the design as well as discuss any ideas you have and any ideas we may have for you. All of the things we discuss will be noted down to create a client brief. Once we have established a detailed client brief and the consultation is complete, we will provide a formal Fee Proposal outlining a cost of works to complete landscape design documentation for your project. The Fee Proposal will also include a scope of works outlining exactly what is included in the total cost of works.
Once K.O Landscape Design has been engaged to undertake landscape design documentation for your project we begin with undertaking a site assessment of your property. During this site assessment, we will take accurate and detailed measurements of the entire area that is to be included in the landscape design. We will take note of environmental factors including sun pattern, prevailing winds, soil type, existing and potential views etc. Once we have gathered all the information deemed required from the site assessment, we begin the Design stage.
Following the site assessment, we accurately transfer all of our on site measurements into our CAD (Computer Aided Design) software. We now combine all of our notes from the site assessment with notes from our established brief and we begin planning/designing whilst incorporating all of our ideas with our professional expertise to create a functional and creative landscape plan. Once we have completed the general layout and functionality of the design we arrange a meeting with you and discuss the design including the layout, material selection, plant selection and any questions you may have.
Following our meeting regarding the Preliminary Landscape Plans, we allow you time to consider which (if any) changes/amendments you would like make to the plans. Once you have informed us of which changes you would like to be made, we can then finalise the design documentation and document the finer details of the design i.e. construction details, plant species size and growth etc.
The Landscape Design is now complete. We are confident that you will be extremely satisfied with the final results based off the highly professional Landscape Plan we created in collaboration with you.
With the completion of the Landscape Plans, it is now time to make your dreams a reality. K.O Landscape Design is a Design + Construct company being fully licensed and insured. We are more than happy to provide a construction quote as part of our services. Alternatively, if you have a particular builder or landscaper you would like to use for your project then our Landscape Plan documentation will be more than enough information for them to quote and work from.
